What should you expect when you visit Harvest Apostolic Church?
Visiting a new place for the first time can be pretty intimidating. What will it be like? What time does it start? What should I wear? What's available for my kids? We wanted to answer a few of these questions to help make your first visit as enjoyable as possible. Feel free to contact us with any further questions. We want to make sure you are informed and comfortable as you visit Harvest Apostolic Church.
Why we come together?
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:-25). Worship is something we can do individually, but God places special importance on believers worshipping together. We understand there are times when things come up, such as sickness or conflicting work schedules, but we believe that all should make it a priority to be in church at every possible opportunity. Great things happen at church!
What happens when I first arrive?
Upon entering lobby we encourage you to stop by our welcome center where you will be greeted and we will help you get acclimated. We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of service. This is a great way to meet people and get a good seat.
What can I expect in the service?
At the beginning of service it is our custom to gather in the front of the sanctuary. The ladies will gather to the left and the men to the right. Please feel free to participate in ways in which you are comfortable. Expect a passionate, heartfelt worship service with great music that is both uplifting and reflective. Lyrics to all of the songs we sing will be projected onto a large screen. Expect dynamic, practical teaching from the Bible with plenty of applications for everyday life. Normally our services end with a time of prayer or a challenge for our lives. After church many people mingle and talk, both inside and outside. If you hang around a little while, we would love to have a chance to chat with you, as well.
What's available for my kids?
On Sundays after a time of welcome and worship, the children's Sunday School is dismissed and they have their own session in nearby rooms where they will remain until the main adult service ends. They will then be re-united with their families.
What should I wear?
We want you to be comfortable when you visit, so wear what you're comfortable wearing! At each service, you'll see people in suits and ties as well as jeans and t-shirts.
What if I have questions?
Our hospitality agents will always be readily available to answer any questions that you might have. We're here to serve you and make you feel like part of the family!
